Meditation sessions at CGH
As part of our Health and Wellbeing programme for staff, we offered free meditation sessions in February 2016.
These sessions were run by a Buddhist Nun, but you do not have to be a Buddhist or indeed have any religious faith to attend the sessions. They will be half hour long and will be in the form of guided meditation where focus is centred on the breath.
The sessions were run every Wednesday from 12:30 -13:00, from 3rd February to 16th March at the Hospital Chapel (located next to the Blue Spa Café) at CGH.
Gary Monaghan Trust Risk Manager says "Meditation helps to have a focus for your attention, an anchor line to tether you to the present moment and to guide you back when the mind wanders from the many distractions that are running through your head. These sessions will benefit anyone from the experienced meditator to a complete novice."
If you have any queries over these sessions contact either Gary Monaghan (Trust Risk Manager) or Mark Read (Spiritual Chaplain)
