Community Health Trainers

Community Health Trainers are local people who have been trained with the skills to help you make a real difference to your health. They offer FREE and confidential one-to-one advice to support you in improving your health and wellbeing. The scheme targets people who don't normally go to services to seek help.

Community Health Trainers are fully trained to help you set realistic goals, offer encouragement, support and work with you to achieve goals. To do that, you may have to overcome obstacles in your life that have been holding you back.  We can offer you realistic and practical help with becoming more physically active, eating healthily, stopping smoking, sensible drinking and accessing help from other organisations. The pages within this section detail the areas of your life our teams can help you with.
