NCS - Fundraising Fun

This week Team 7 of the Gloucestershire National Citizen Service are fundraising and volunteering with the Hospitals Charity. Their aim is to raise awareness and some serious dough by hosting Bake Sales, a Family Fun Day and Bag Packing.

Tuesday 26th July: Celebrating the start of a charity partnership with Sainsbury’s Tewkesbury Rd and the Hospitals Charity, the students will be helping customers by packing their grocery bags and talking to them about upcoming fundraising events.

Wednesday 27th July: From 10am, the team will be hosting a delicious Bake Sale at Gloucester Royal Hospital within the Atrium. Offering a variety of tempting treats, this is surely a great way to spend a mid-week Wednesday.

Thursday 28th July: With the schools now broken-up for the summer holidays, pop down to the Oakley Community Centre, Clyde Cres, Whaddon to enjoy a fun fuelled Family Fun Day! The team have organised something for everyone – music, henna and face painting, sumo wrestling, games and much more! Gates open from 11am to 3pm.

All the proceeds from the fundraising activities will go to the Hospitals Charity. Both the bake sale and the family fun day will be raising money directly for the FOCUS Oncology Fund.
