Professor Christopher Dunn, DSc, PhD, BPharm(Hons)
Professor Dunn was elected in 2011 as a Governor representing the Stroud District constituency. A locally-born and educated graduate in pharmacy, he spent the first 20 years of his career undertaking medical and scientific research in various universities in the UK and US. During nine years in the US, he ran a haematology research programme for NASA at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. On return to the UK, he completed his preregistration pharmacy training and has practised the profession full- or part-time for much of the past 20-plus years.
After a brief spell as Professor of Social Pharmacy at the University of Oslo in Norway, Mr Dunn was appointed Professor of Prescribing Practice at the University of the West of England, Bristol were he delivered pharmacology lectures to diverse groups of healthcare students attempting to gain a mandate to prescribe. Now semi-retired, he undertakes some locum pharmacy and other academic work, and sits on panels for the Family Health Services Appeal Unit of the NHS Litigation Authority, and as a professional tribunal member of the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber of the Ministry of Justice Tribunals Service.

Pat moved to Slimbridge 6 years ago. Previously Pat has been a Warden of Sheltered Housing and a Publican. Pat has been on a very personal journey with the NHS having been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2000 before getting involved in the Peninsula Cancer Network. Her passion is Cancer Services and Research and Clinical Trials although she is interested in all aspects of health care. Her aim is to harness her experience to work with the Trust in providing excellent quality care for everyone.
