Daisychain Benevolent Fund Trust to be thanked at festive celebration
A celebration and festive afternoon tea to thank Daisychain Benevolent Fund Trust for their generous support will take place on Thursday 10th December at the Paediatric Outpatients Department at Cheltenham General Hospital. Volunteers and trustees of the charity will attend together with our staff and some of the young patients who will benefit from their generosity.
Play Specialist Laura Thomas said: “We are so grateful for the support of Daisychain which has enabled us to buy a substantial amount of toys and equipment for the department. We appreciate everyone who donates money and time to providing a better experience for our young patients.
“We’re very lucky to have such fantastic and dedicated supporters of our services. From large charities to individual donors, their kindness, dedication and time ensure that the children we look after can benefit from fantastic facilities and equipment in a truly child-friendly environment.”
Greg Rowe, Chairman of Daisy Chain Benevolent Fund Trust commented: “The Trustees, shop volunteers and staff are looking forward to attending the celebration and to seeing our donations in situ. Having a vibrant refurbished area with lots of distractions helps to reduce anxiety for children and parents. This can help enormously during both treatment and recovery. We’re really proud to support Children’s Services at Cheltenham General Hospital and we would like to say a huge thank you to the people in Gloucestershire for their generosity and support which will benefit local children and their families.”
The event will also be attended by the Mayor of Cheltenham Councillor Duncan Smith and Clair Chilvers, Chair of Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
