Staff as nice as Pie for charity bake off

Staff at our Trust are gearing up to make mincemeat of each other at the first round of a knockout baking competition at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Monday 30th November.

Every entrant has to make 24 Mince Pies with a maximum unit cost of 15 pence as the winning entrant’s recipe will be used to make Mince Pies for patients next Christmas. All pies not sampled for the judging process will be sold off at midday in Foster’s Restaurant to raise money for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity.

This is the first round of four taking place between now and March 2016. For each round, entrants need to produce 5 photographs of themselves - with the ingredients, preparing the ingredients, baking and decorating or finishing. This is to ensure cakes are not purchased from external sources. Remaining rounds include Choux Pastry, Cheesecake and a live final where entrants will produce a full afternoon tea in the kitchens at GRH.
