Water babies at Gloucester Birth Unit

The Birth Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital will be benefitting from new large scale photographic prints of babies swimming underwater thanks to a kind donation by Water Babies Gloucestershire & North Wiltshire.

The photographs will hang in the birthing pool rooms and will enhance the calm and tranquil décor of the home-from-home midwife-led Birth Unit.

Lead Midwife at the Birth centre Lynsey Phillips said:

“We’re really grateful to Water Babies for donating the photographs. One of the babies featured is the daughter of one of our midwives so we feel very much involved with the donation as a unit.

“We’re really proud of the services we provide for women at our Birth Unit here in Gloucester where in common with our other birth units at Cheltenham and Stroud, our midwives are passionate about helping women achieve the very best birth experience.”
