Patient's Choice Award 2016

Patients Choice 2016

The Patient's Choice for 2016 is closed, but nominations may still be made throughout the year. If you are nominating after March 15th 2016, your nominations will be moved to our 2016/17 award.

Once again this year, we gave patients and the public an opportunity to have their say and recognise the NHS staff who have made a difference to their lives.

This award is part of an annual Staff Awards scheme run by our Trust, which runs Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH) and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH).

Chief Executive Dr Frank Harsent said:

“This award aims to recognise individuals or groups whose commitment and dedication ensures that exceptional care is delivered to our patients.

“We know that we have so many extraordinary members of staff who despite working under enormous pressure, are consistently going further to deliver exceptional care to our patients. This award gives local people the chance to acknowledge those special individuals who go the extra mile in the course of their work.

“If you have been impressed by the care and treatment from an individual or team and feel they deserve to be recognised for their dedication in providing high quality care, please nominate them today.”

Before making a nomination, we would ask people to consider:

  • Did the staff member, ward or team make your visit to hospital as comfortable and stress-free as possible?
  • Did they explain what would be happening to you during your stay?
  • Did they take the time to discuss your concerns, or find someone who could?
  • Were they caring and attentive to your needs?
  • Did you find them approachable, kind, pleasant and helpful?

If the answer to one or more of these points is yes, then nominate here

We are fortunate again this year to have attracted commercial sponsors for our Staff Awards. The Patient's Choice sponsor this year is Alpha Colour.

Their involvement allows us to create links with local businesses, and gives them the opportunity to attend the evening and hear at first hand some of the wonderful things our staff have done.
