I was taken to Gloucestershire Royal by ambulance in middle of the night suffering acute abdominal/chest pain. Following pain relief and gas and air in the ambulance I was able to walk in to A&E where I was immediately given a trolley and assessed by a nurse. I was seen promptly by a doctor and reviewed by a consultant as soon as my results were in from the lab!! 
I couldn't have been looked after any better anywhere!! 
Thanks to all staff for excellent care and attention!! 
We are lucky to have you all!!

I spent the 20th Dec on the day ward, All staff were brilliant, could not do enough. Sadly for one reason or another I spend quite a lo of time at one or other of the hospitals. I wish all NHS Staff a wonderful, and happy 2017. I do just wonder if the folk complaining would like to have to pay for all their treatment and everything.? 
Think before complaining if it is worth it or just a blip that can be understood when thought about.

Quite a good stay to be honest however, some night staff could be a lot less grumpy!!!! Patients are in pain and need some help not to be made to feel worthless! Other staff are fantastic!

My partner and I were sent by urgent referral to A&E because he has a brain injury which has still not been diagnosed or properly addressed despite having been sent from the local out of hours service in our town to the main hospital at GRH, we were told he should just go home and rest despite not being able to speak from working memory and pains in his head and face. We went to the GP today who said he thinks it is bizarre my partner was not given a brain scan or neurology specialist examination. I am furious with the system, this decision by the ACU medics could potentially lead to permanent or severe complications, or my partner's death if the cause is not identified in time to treat him. Extremely distressed and scared that we still do not know what is wrong and were given no help despite being in the same building as CT and MRI scanners and EEG machines in addition to an entire neurology department, all because he didn't tick enough boxes on the criteria to justify spending Health Trust funding on further tests.

Staff very helpful couldnt of done enough. BUT parking charges are ridiculously over priced and its reflect in the fact that over a millon pound in parcking charges have been paid to Gloucester and Cheltenham in parking charges. Government needs to review........


Five stars is not enough for the service my wife received yesterday, the care and attention was second to none. Thanks to everyone involved.

Very good service, thank you very much, I was seen within 15 minutes and treat within 2 1/2 hours

Many thanks to the staff on 6b that looked after my mum from Boxing Day night till 30/12/16, you're all a credit to our profession! �� xx
