Congratulations to Lucy and the The Lifelong Learning Team who took the award for Employer of the Year at the Gloucestershire Apprenticeship Awards last night!
Our Apprentice Liam Southgate won an amazing two awards, including the top individual accolade as Gloucestershire Apprentice of the Year. He was also Outstanding Apprentice of The Year in the Health, Education and Care (Private or Public Sector).
Well done to everyone who was nominated including our apprentices Emily...
My son was brought into GRH A&E dept in the early hours of 16/6/15 by ambulance after having his drink spiked or as the staff said due to alcohol which I dispute totally due to the symptoms shown. My daughter and I were asked politely by the receptionist to wait whilst she booked him in, whilst waiting the sister in charge came out to reception saying in a loud voice to the receptionist and a male member of staff in red scrubs absolutely disgusting how these kids get in this state, whilst myself , my daughter and a couple of other people were within range of her saying this, I feel that this was a breech of patient confidentiality, and feel she should attend a course on patient confidentiality. I will however praise the nurse that was looking after my son she was very caring and kind to him . The consultant looking after my son was also pleasant but wouldn't listen to me when I was saying his drink had been spiked so no blood tests were conducted which I feel at the time was necessary due to the symptoms he had shown whilst at home waiting for the ambulance such as hallucinating seeing spiders and whilst in A&E feeling very scared this to myself and the medical staff I work with is no way a sign of alcohol consumption but a sign of drink spiking . I would appreciate a response to this email. Regards
