Nurse Carolyn from Cheltenham is Skydiving to raise funds for Prescott Ward (via our Charity) and Maggie's Centres.

Despite her fear of flying, brave Carolyn will be doing a Tandem Skydive on the 25th June. Carolyn says: "This is a real challenge as I have a fear of flying but I feel it's nothing compared to the bravery of the bowel cancer patients I work with. This is for them really and for my mum who has survived x 3 major cancer operations!"
You can support Carolyn by donating here:

Snow hills ward where my daughter had to have general for c t scan. Was amazing especially the anathestist Edward and nurse rebeccaxxx.

I was really well looked after in the ACU unit. Passionate staff who took the time to make me feel I mattered, I was diagnosed with pneumonia and pleurisy and felt safe and cared for by a warm friendly team. Many thanks

Trying to get in touch with the Central Booking Office. It's either engaged or a recorded message telling me it's closed but closes at 4:30. It's 3:36 now - what's going on there then??

Of interest:

We're supporting @DyingMatters week - find out why talking about dying, death and bereavement is important today:

Came into the hospital today for a blood test to see if I am diabetic. I just want to say many many thanks to the nurse who found me slumped on the chairs in one of the corridors soon after the test. She went out of her way to get me a cup of water and a biscuit and ensure I was comfortable.

It would be better if patients can be discounted or kindly reimbursed for parking....these companies must be having a field day at our expense....

If you've had a good experience at our hospitals and would like to recognise a team or individual member of staff who have made a difference to you, our Patient's Choice Award is open for nominations until 30 June 2017.
Now in its fifth year and really valued by staff, it's a great way to say a 'thank you' for the care you or your family have received.
Nominate here:

Claire Mortimer I wish I knew the name of the anaesthetist and the members of the team who performed an emergency C Section on me in February this year. They were excellent I cannot fault them or the Maternity aftercare whilst I was an inpatient. But the anaesthetist was amazing, she could tell I was nervous and upset and kept talking to me to keep me calm and not panic about what was happening. It sounds small but it helped me a great deal, surgery was and still is my biggest fear so it meant a lot. Thank you!

Driving Miss Daisy UK Love this. All NHS trusts should do something similar!

Patricia Hathaway Cannot fault the treatment I have had from the Renal team, this past 7 months. Will be forever grateful
