I have recently been an in patient in Orthopaedic admission suite and Alstone ward. They were caring and professional, I can't thank them enough for looking after me. The theatre staff were also excellent. Ann Newman.

I have recently been admitted to Orthopaedic admission suite and Alstone ward. I would like to say thank you to all of the staff, they all work hard to provide a caring and professional service. A five star service.

What an absolute farce the Gloucestershire NHS is . On Friday 11th November I spent over 3 hrs trying to get appointments for Saturday and Sunday for my daughter Lucy to have her wound pack changed. It's an open wound, and has to be dealt with daily to prevent infection. Our practice nurse sent a referral to the access centre & district nurses and said they would phone me direct with a time but no one bothered to phone. So by 4.40pm, I worried and decided to contact them myself. They had received the referral . It took over 2.5hrs to find out the access centre have no nurses this weekend so thought it was pointless phoning to inform me 👊😡, and then I find out that district nurses won't go near Lucy as she is under 18yrs old!! So I call 111 for them to do exactly the same as I had done 3hrs before!! This took them 2 hrs 👊😡👊. They then suggest a & e but it could be up to a 4 hour wait. No mate, I've explained she can't sit that long, struggles to walk,,,, could I not just get an out of hours appointment instead? I am then informed that the pack should be ok until her Monday appointment at 5.30pm. My head is now exploding with 💥 fireworks,,,, daily change to reduce infection can now be dragged out for over 79 hrs!! 👊👊👊👊👊 As a last resort, I telephone the Day Surgery where Lu had her operation last weekend, explained the situation, and the staff nurse is gobsmacked and disgusted. " Mrs Garland, bring Lucy into us tomorrow morning & Sunday and we will sort her out as she cannot wait that long" Wow,, they were fantastic last week and once again have come to my daughters aid to make sure she is ok . A big tin of chocolates bought tonight to take in for them tomorrow to say Thanku 👌👌I've given 5/5 score for the excellent care the Day Surgery gave my daughter whilst in hospital last weekend for her operation and for the service they have given Lucy this weekend , whilst the NHS rejected us. Nicola & Lucy, along with the rest of the staff have been fantastic. Thanku ladies very very much x 👌

Every single person who dealt with my 91-year-old mother - nurses, doctors, auxiliaries, and especially the paramedics/ambulance guys, have been SO lovely - kind, incredibly thorough, extremely attentive and unfailingly patient. NOTHING gets past them and their attention to detail is incredible. 6*
