Stagecoach Route 99 Bus

In partnership with Stagecoach Bus Network, we provide a park and ride service from Cheltenham Racecourse via Cheltenham town centre to Cheltenham General Hospital. The service is also a shuttle bus from Cheltenham General to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes, Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm from Cheltenham General and 7.30am to 7.30pm from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Dedicated stops have been established at the Pathology Department at both hospitals. See the timetable for the Route 99 bus

The park and ride service runs from Cheltenham Racecourse to CGH via the town centre every 15 minutes at peak times from 6.20am.

Did you know? If you are disabled and have a Concessionary Bus Pass or aged 65 and over and have a Concessionary Bus Pass, you can use the Stagecoach Route 99 service for free between 9.30am and 11pm on weekdays.

Travelling by bicycle or motorbike

There are cycle racks next to all principle entrances at Cheltenham General. Motorbike parking is available near the entrance to the Emergency Department (A&E). 

At Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, bike racks can again be found near all the main entrances to the site. 

Travelling by train

Gloucester Railway Station is less than ten minutes' walk from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
