Prescott Ward is a male and female surgical ward specialising in both colorectal and gyneacological patients.
It has 35 beds divided into four bays and three single rooms. It is situated in Centre Block on the second floor, next to the Oncology Department, where there is both stair and lift access.
The Ward Manager for Prescott Ward is Sharon Cornwell. Sister Cornwell can be contacted via the Ward Reception on 0300 422 4107.
Caroline Elcock is the Modern Matron for Surgery. Sister Elcock can be contacted via her secretary on 0300 422 6642

We try to promote protected mealtimes and would ask that your relatives do not visit during meal times.
Breakfast 7:30am - 8:00am
Lunch 12:30pm - 1:15pm
Supper 5.30pm - 6.15pm
Evening Drink from 8.00pm
Fresh water and drinks are available throughout the day.
Medicines are given out 4 times a day, unless otherwise directed by your medical team. Nurses wear red tabards to undertake the round and we would ask that they are not disturbed whilst in the process of administering medications. If you require pain relief outside of the normal 'rounds', please tell a member of the nursing team, who will advise if it is prescribed.
Please be aware that mobile phones or handheld devices should not be used to take photographs without permission. We ask you to have your mobile phone on silent or vibrate to minimise disruption to other patients. Please be considerate when taking calls, keep them to a minimum and we ask that no calls are made in patient areas between the hours of 10:00pm - 8:00am.
Discharge from hospital
We aim to tell you in good time when you are expected to be discharged from hospital. We request, wherever possible, that you make your own arrangements to be collected from hospital by 10:00am on the day of your discharge., If you have any concerns regarding your discharge, or do not know the expected date of your discharge, please ask the nurse in charge of your care.
If appropriate, a specific information sheet will be provided to you before your discharge from hospital with any necessary information and support that may be required.
Please be aware that the Trust is now a smoke free NHS. Smoking is not permitted in any building or within the grounds of any of our sites. Information and support is available to any patients who wish to stop smoking. Nicotine Replacement Therapy is available to help reduce your cravings during your stay.
