Primary medical qualifications

Medical Degree at University of Liverpool (MBChB) 1997, Doctorate of Medicine at the University of London (MD) 2012, Member of the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MRCOG) 2009.

Areas of expertise

Mr Rahmanou has an extensive background and training in urogynaecology, minimal access pelvic floor reconstruction and general obstetrics and gynaecology. He completed his sub-specialty fellowship in urogynaecology and advanced training in labour ward practice and laparoscopic benign gynaecological surgery.

Mr Rahmanou is currently working in a multidisciplinary team, providing a service in the treatment of female lower urinary tract symptoms including urinary incontinence, genital prolapse and obstetric injuries. He also provides treatment for general gynaecological problems such as menstrual disorders.

Date of registration

Completion of subspecialty training in Oxford, Jan 2014. Appointed as Consultant Urogynaecologist in April, 2014.

Outpatient clinics

General gynaecology and urogynaecology clinics in Tewkesbury, Cirencester and The Vale (Dursley). 

Urogynaecology clinics are held at Cheltenham General and Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals.
