Planning for your appointment

Your Appointment Information Sheet will detail the site and location that you need to report to. The clinic locations are identified on the notice boards around the hospitals. If you are still unsure where to go please ask at any of the hospital's Enquiry Desks, which can be found inside the main entrances at both Cheltenham and Gloucestershire Royal.

If you have any communication, learning disabillities or mobility issues which you think may impact on your visit to us, please contact the department using the telephone number on the front of the Appointment Information Sheet.

When you arrive

Once you arrive at your outpatient clinic please let the receptionist know you are here. The receptionist will then check your details with you. You will then be asked to take a seat and wait until your name is called.

If you are visually or hearing impaired please inform the receptionist on arrival.

Please be aware - Although many Children’s outpatient appointments are held within the Children’s Outpatient departments, there are occasions when Children will be seen in adult clinics in General Outpatients. The Appointment Information Sheet will advise you as to the exact location of your childs appointment. 

At the end of your consultation  you will be handed a form that you should take to the receptionist. This form contains important information for the receptionist, and will indicate when a follow-up appointment should be booked for you (if one is required).
