Pudendal Nerve Block

The pudendal nerves carry sensation from the perineum ( the area that would be in contact if you were sitting on a horse or bicycle saddle).  Pain in this area can arise from a condition called Pudendal Neuralgia.  As part of the diagnosis and management of this condition we sometimes perform local anaesthetic injections to these nerves.
