Suprascapular Nerve Block

The suprascapular nerve provides part of the nerve supply of the shoulder joint, and in some cases of shoulder joint pain either local anaesthetic and steroid injection of this nerve or occasionally more permanent blockade of the nerve using radiofrequency lesioning can give useful pain relief and increased mobility and function of the joint.
