The ward is divided into two sections of 14 male beds, 3 of which are siderooms and 14 female beds, 2 of which are siderooms.
- The male section has 2 toilets and onle shower.
- The female section has 2 toilets and one shower, 2 siderooms with ensuite facility.
- There are assisted bath and shower facilities
- There is a large dayroom/lounge with TV.
Mealtimes and Catering
Meals on the ward are served at the following times: -
- Breakfast: - 7.30am - 8.30am
- Lunch: - 12.00pm - 1.00pm
- Evening Meal: - 5.00pm - 6.00pm
Beverages: - Hot drinks are served seven times throughout the day.

At Gloucestershire Royal Hospital there are two newsagents on site should you wish to purchase newspapers, magazines etc.
Newspapers and magazines can be purchased daily from the trolley which visits the ward between 9.00am – 12noon.
If English is not your first language, and you may require the services of an interpreter, please let the ward know before your admission, if at all possible.
If you are hearing impaired and need to sign, we may also be able to provide someone to help with this.
A Hairdresser, Dietician, Chiropodist, Dentist and Pharmacist are all available on site and the staff will inform you of these in more detail should you wish.
Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Social Services can be accessed via referral from Ward staff. Chaplaincy staff visit the Ward, or you may arrange for your own spiritual advisor to visit.
If you have any concerns or comments during your stay please do not hesitate to speak to either of the Ward Sisters/Charge Nurse. They are always happy to discuss any issues you may have and if they are not on duty please speak to the Nurse in charge who will arrange a convenient time for you to meet them.
