The main entrance to the Women’s Centre is inside the main hospital, behind the
passenger lifts in the Tower lobby. This entrance is open between 6am and 10pm.
The Women’s Centre is signposted from each of the hospital’s external entrances:
- Main Outpatients entrance (Gate 2, Great Western Road)
- Tower entrance (Gate 1, Great Western Road)
- London Road entrance (Gate 6, London Road)
- Therapies entrance (Gate 6, London Road)
There are 20 minute set-down spaces at the Main Outpatients and Tower entrances.
After 20 minutes, you will need to move your car to one of the main car parks to avoid
getting a penalty notice. Please see below for details of where to park.
Rear emergency entrance
For obstetric emergencies, or for access between 10pm and 6am please use the rear
entrance to the Women’s Centre. This is a security-controlled entrance with a buzzer to
alert staff to let you in.
The rear emergency entrance is on the hospital’s service road which can be reached from Gate 7 on Horton Road. Follow signs for ‘Maternity Emergencies’.
There are 20 minute set down spaces at the rear emergency entrance. After 20 minutes, you will need to move your car to one of the main car parks to avoid getting a penalty notice. However, if you are accompanying a woman in labour and the clinical team decide there isn’t sufficient time for you to move your car before the birth; they will give you a notice to display in your car to prevent you receiving a penalty notice.
