GP Education Team

In July 2013 Dr Jim Morison retired and Dr Lizzie Eley was appointed as Associate Postgraduate Dean for Gloucestershire, responsible for GP Training. Training Programme Directors are: Drs Damian Kenny, Judith Brooke, Catherine Kingcombe, Paul Crouchman, Tom Agombar, & Tom Morgan. They deliver GP trainee education for all three years of training on a weekly basis; for 6 months of the year at Sandford Education Centre, Cheltenham and six months at Redwood Education Centre, Gloucester giving equal access to the VTS trainees in both major hospitals. They gain experience of large group & peer led learning, and also have external input from Star College as well as small group experiential working.

As part of the Severn GP expansion there will be 6 new, additional training posts in Gloucestershire from August 2014; taking Gloucestershire's total number of trainees from 126 to 132 per annum.
