Claire O'Connor - Deputy Library Services Manager

Claire has been working as a librarian in the Trust library service since 2000. Before that she worked in law and academic libraries. Claire enjoys helping our fab Trust staff and students find information to make their lives and those of their patients a bit easier.

When Claire isn’t making one of her fleeting appearances at work she can be found either struggling along at a boot camp class, at home picking bits of lego and clothes off the floor, or being late for something.

Sandra Weir - Assistant Librarian

Sandra has worked as a librarian for the last 11 years initially for the e-Library aspect of NHS Education for Scotland, as Academic Liaison Librarian at a university and now for Gloucestershire Hospitals trust.  She particularly enjoys helping users with referencing and how to retrieve information using the healthcare databases.

Outside of work Sandra’s spare time is given over to trying to keep track of grown up children and step children as well as five energetic grandchildren.  To relax she loves the challenge of delving into her own family history as well as helping others learn about their own ancestry, a hobby that started when she was fifteen.  She also enjoys walks and drives with her husband through the beautiful Gloucestershire (and beyond) countryside with a bit of bird watching thrown in for good measure.

Rebecca Howes - Assistant Librarian

After a variety of jobs that included shoveling popcorn to the masses, working for Mickey Mouse in Florida and washing the coffee cups of University lecturers, Rebecca moved into the glamourous world of libraries. Now she helps the lovely staff of the NHS to find evidence, teach them how to navigate healthcare databases and not to panic when an assignment is due!

Outside of the NHS library Rebecca is a reluctant runner, more enthusiastic theatre-goer and an avid reader of books - well, she is a librarian after all!

Trish Moore - Senior Library Assistant

Trish began her career in libraries as a public library assistant 4 years ago, and it was during this time she embarked on her post-graduate studies in ‘Information and Library studies’ at Aberystwyth University. Trish has now graduated (2017) and is in spirit, a fully-qualified librarian!

Trish had previously worked in healthcare as a Healthcare Assistant in mental health and ran her own business as a Personal Fitness Trainer, so entering the field of health libraries was a logical transition.

In Trish's spare time, she likes to keep fit at her local Cross Fit, ride her motorbike, read fiction and has even taken to a bit of Tap dance!
