Corridor works and Agito Lab crane removal at GRH
From 2 to 7 January 2025, works will be carried out at the London Road Courtyard entrance area at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital
Initially the London Road Courtyard entrance will be open to the public, however there may be some disruptions and noise. This work is to facilitate the detachment of the corridor from the Agito Lab currently situated in the London Road Courtyard area that is scheduled to be removed. The removal will require a crane coming on site to load the Lab itself onto the transport vehicle.
- The Crane lift is scheduled to take place on 7 January, which means that the London Road Courtyard entrance will be completely closed off to the public and any vehicles on both 6 and 7 January.
- Other entrances throughout the hospital will be available for patient and staff use. See our internal maps for reference.
- On the day of the crane lift and Lab removal (7 January), there will be some disruption to Mayhill Way since the transport vehicle needs to enter and exit via this route. Whilst Mayhill Way will not be closed off, please be aware that when loaded with the Lab, the transport vehicle will be travelling at very low speed. We therefore advise taking other routes around the hospital that day to prevent any delays or disruptions to your travel to and from our hospital site.
- The disabled parking bays opposite Pathology, as seen in the image below, will also be closed off on 7 January to facilitate the crane lift and exit strategy for the transport vehicle. Other accessible parking spaces are available across the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital hospital site.
