Healthcare Science Week: join our event on 9 March 2024

16 Jan 2024, 6:33 p.m.

Healthcare Science Week is celebrated from 8 -17 March 2024, which is an an opportunity to promote the amazing work of healthcare scientists and highlight the difference they make to patients’ lives

It is a little-known fact that whilst healthcare scientists typically make up less than 5% of the workforce, they are involved in 80% of patient diagnostic tests. The healthcare science workforce is key to supporting research and innovation, which is a is vital part of modern patient care.

Gloucestershire Hospitals are holding an event on Saturday 9 March at the University of Gloucestershire (see details below). This exciting event is designed to showcase the amazing work of healthcare scientists and inspire the next generation of healthcare science staff. We have also invited our Allied Health Professionals to attend this event and it is open to anyone in Year 9 at School (aged 13/14), College Students, mature students, teachers and career advisors as well as parents and carers.

  • We are thrilled to be offering a new VR experience at the event this year – so why not tell all your colleagues, friends and family about this unmissable event.
  • There will be over 20 stands from a variety of healthcare science and Allied Health Professions to talk about their roles and why they love what they do.

Come along and be inspired!
