Each year, we ask patients and members of the public to highlight the difference that any team, service, ward or individual has made to their care at our hospitals

Kerry Ryland

Kerry Ryland

Maternity Care Assistant

Maternity Care Assistant Kerry supports mums and new families on our Maternity Ward. Kerry received several nominations, which outlined how her care for the whole family makes such a difference to them in the baby's very first few days of life.

One nomination said, "Right from the start she made me feel comfortable and it felt like I was with an old family friend! You could tell she was very knowledgeable and passionate about her job and the people she was caring for, so I felt like I was in safe hands.

"Our daughter spent the first night on NICU and Kerry went above and beyond to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. She was also there to make us laugh when we needed it and was there to dry my tears as well. I will forever be so grateful that she was on shift when Ivy was born and will never be able to thank her enough for all that she did for us!"
