As a key member of the Hospital Mortality Group, Ben created a bespoke database to ensure we have an accurate local picture of what is happening at our hospitals. Colleagues described Ben’s “platinum-level analytical and IT skills”, adding that he can present this data to a wider, less specialist audience in easy-to-understand language. Ben was pivotal in identifying and alerting us to delay related harm resulting from poor flow from ED, which is vital to our future strategy to improve. He always has patient safety and experience at the heart of his work.
