Care of the Elderly
Colleagues said that Andy is is exactly the kind of doctor you would want to care for your family, adding that he always has patients' best interests at heart and and ensures their voices are heard. One said, "Andy is one of the most compassionate consultants I have ever had the pleasure of working with".
Andy also gives time and patience to teaching and pastoral support, going out of his way to make the working environment better for all staff. Never too busy to offer guidance and support, Andy is welcoming and supportive to staff of all levels.
Helen Warrener
Women’s and Children’s division
Divisional PA Helen has been a mainstay of the Women's and Children's division for many years. Colleagues highlighted her adaptability and flexibility, advising that she is always generous with her time and knowledge, whether to visitors, new recruits or project teams.
As a member of the admin team, Helen's work is not always obvious to the rest of the Division but her calm, considerate and measured approach is incredibly valued by all her colleagues.
Nicole Nickleson
Urgent and Emergency Care
NIcole's nominations described her as a fantastic team player who works tirelessly to support the acute medical team. She is not only leading on improvements within medical SDEC and the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) but also ensures that the rotas are up-to date, proactively filling gaps.
Although she works in a non-clinical role, Nicole's kind and compassionate approach shines through when supporting the urgent and emergency care team as duty manager of the day. One colleague commented, "We would be lost without her."
