Balcarras School Staff, students and families at Balcarras School have gone above and beyond to help support our latest appeal.

The school collectively raised funds through their annual sponsored walk event, with the students wanting to show their continued support for our local hospitals. The money will go towards bringing the latest CT Gamma Scanner technology to Gloucestershire. This state-of-the-art equipment will benefit thousands of patients every year, from people with cancer to babies to patients with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s.

Mark Constance, Head of Year at Balcarras School, said "As a school we really enjoy working closely with Gloucestershire Hospitals Trust. It's an example of a great partnership, and support for the scanner appeal, as well as our students having the opportunity to hear about the benefits of it, has been fantastic".”

Balcarrras School have raised over £15,000 in just four years and Senior Fundraiser, Karen Organ, has already seen the difference their support makes at the hospitals.

“We are so appreciative of the very special relationship the charity enjoys with Balcarras School; they are a shining example of all that is so inspiring with the best of young people. We are delighted to be able to continue this year with such a large donation towards our latest appeal.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to Balcarras for their incredible support and you can find out more about our CT Gamma Scanner Appeal here.
