From Manual to Modern: New electric treatment couches funded

A haematology treatment couch is used for patients who require a physical examination. It helps to provide a comfortable and practical space for patients undergoing various treatments and procedures. It would be typically be used for blood tests and sample collections, as well as enabling the team to conduct any physical examinations that may be required during an Outpatient appointment.
The existing couches in the Edward Jenner Unit consultation rooms were all manual movement pieces of equipment. This could prove difficult for patients with mobility challenges. The new treatment couches are all electronically assisted, helping to provide a more modern clinical environment, enhanced patient experience and safeguarding again musculoskeletal issues.
“These new treatment couches are designed with patient comfort in mind, featuring ergonomic support and electric height adjustment for easy access. A convenient handset allows for precise positioning, ensuring optimal comfort and efficiency during treatment. With our clinics running daily, this equipment will support nearly 6,000 patient interactions over the next year. We are incredibly grateful to our charity supporters, whose generosity has enhanced the experience for both patients and staff by making this valuable upgrade possible.”
