The latest diagnostic ultrasound imaging system has now been funded thanks to your support
Local patients are now benefitting from the ‘VScan Air’ Wireless Ultrasound to help provide faster and more accurate treatment at our hospitals.
This state-of-the-art equipment provides the highest quality images to support early diagnosis, monitoring of treatment and future care plans. It can be used to perform a number of procedures such as rapid cardiac assessment, lung ultrasounds and vascular cannulations. As the device is handheld it also offers staff maximum freedom and mobility in ward and emergency settings.
The VScan Wireless Ultrasound is an incredible new piece of equipment that will help hundreds of patients every year at our hospitals. It allows staff access to real-time clinical information so that they can help diagnose and treat patients faster. Time is always a precious resource, and it’s even more precious when a patient is extremely unwell. The speed and accuracy of having a mobile ultrasound makes such a difference for both staff and patients. We are incredibly grateful to the Gloucestershire community who have helped to fund this innovative technology for our department.”
