Areas of Expertise
Dr. Corden was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Gloucestershire Hospitals and the Bristol Heart Institute in 2023. He trained in all aspects of general cardiology but has particular sub-speciality expertise in inherited cardiovascular conditions, heart failure, and cardiac MRI.
Dr. Corden studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and earned a PhD from University College London. His specialty training took place primarily at Imperial College Hospitals in London. He conducted cardiovascular research at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, and the National Heart Centre, Singapore. In 2022, he returned to the UK to complete a sub-specialty fellowship in Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London.
In Gloucestershire, Dr. Corden contributes to the in-patient heart failure service and holds clinics in general cardiology, heart failure, and inherited cardiovascular conditions. At the Bristol Heart Institute, he reports cardiac MRI and runs a clinic for inherited cardiovascular diseases.
