Orthopaedic Spine Consultants
Areas of expertise
Miss Kerr is one of the orthopaedic spine consultants working for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust. Her practice is in the adult degenerative spine as well as general orthopaedics. She did her undergraduate degree at St Mary’s Medical School, part of Imperial College London and completed orthopaedic training in the Severn Deanery. She also has a Speech Science and Communication degree from University College London and a Masters in Medical Education from Nottingham University (Hons). Before taking up her consultant position, she completed spine fellowships in London Ontario, Canada and Cardiff, Wales.
Miss Kerr is interested in equal opportunities in surgery, plus factors relating to the recruitment and retention of trainees in spine surgery. She is a member of the BOA diversity focus group, as well as the Membership Secretary for the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, the first female spine surgeon to be elected to the BASS executive council.
