SACT side effects: Urinary changes
Some types of cancer treatment can cause side effects that affect your bladder and bowel.
Call the Acute Haematology Oncology Unit (AHOU) if you are experiencing:

- Have blood in your urine
- Have pain, stinging or burning when you pass urine
- Are unable to control your bladder
- Are not passing as much urine as normal
- Have an increased urgency to pass urine
- Are passing urine more often
- Once you have passed urine, you feel like you have not emptied your bladder.
- Are concerned about any changes in your bladder function
