Some types of cancer treatment can cause side effects that affect your bladder and bowel.

Call the Acute Haematology Oncology Unit (AHOU) if you are experiencing:

    • Have blood in your urine
    • Have pain, stinging or burning when you pass urine
    • Are unable to control your bladder
    • Are not passing as much urine as normal
    • Have an increased urgency to pass urine
    • Are passing urine more often
    • Once you have passed urine, you feel like you have not emptied your bladder.
    • Are concerned about any changes in your bladder function
