We provide most of our antenatal education through The Real Birth Digital Programme. You can also speak to your community midwife about Antenatal Education sessions in your area, which are provided by some of our units and continuity teams

Birth Preparation Workshop
This Course is FREE for you to access.
It is available in English, Welsh, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Urdu, Tamil and Arabic.
The course includes breathing and massage techniques.
You can access your course through your BadgerNet app, via a QR Code provided by your Midwife, or you can access the course here and through the link below.
What is the Real Birth Digital programme?
The Real Birth Digital Programme is a birth preparation course like no other. You will be guided through explanation and videos that show the amazing changes that take place for you and your baby as you give birth. You will learn about the different options and choices you can make in many birth situations, too. There are also massage and breathing techniques for you to practice.
Understanding more about your body in labour helps you to make informed choices which can reduce stress and empower you during your birth.

Support groups, online resources and apps
Home-Start UK
Home-Start Gloucestershire’s trained volunteers help to support families with young children through their toughest times by visiting them once a week in their homes. They also offer the following support groups:
Antenatal groups covering a range of subjects, such as bonding with your unborn baby, emotions during pregnancy, and baby development in the womb.
Postnatal groups for parents with babies up to six months old, focusing on topics like supporting early relationships and development, sleep, and first aid.
Perinatal mental health peer-to-peer groups, offering reassurance and support to mothers who are impacted by their mental health.
