  • A specific antibody for myasthenia gravis. Positive in about 90% of patients with generalised disease and in 75% of patients with only ocular symptoms. The level of antibody is not an index of disease severity.
  • Serial measurements not helpful.
  •  Test performed at Neuroimmunology Lab, Glasgow.

Clotted blood. (No patient preparation or special handling required)
