Chronic malaise is defined as being of more than one month duration
- For malaise of less than one month duration, see General/malaise serology screen
- This screen comprises the following tests:
- Investigation of malaise of greater than six months duration will be limited to EBV and Toxoplasma antibodies only

Serum - paired samples not required
8.5ml of blood taken into a plain gel tube

- Date of onset
- Clinical details typically malaise, myalgia, "flu-like" illness
Storage/transport
Store at fridge temperature
Transport as soon as possible at ambient temperature
