• Testing for narcolepsy, irirtis, uveitis, Bechet's syndrome etc.
• HLA B27 tests are consultant requests only.
• North Bristol NHS Trust Request for HLA investigations Form required. These are available form GRH Immunology.
• Performed at HLA Typing Laboratory, Southmead Hospital.

Sample Requirements

EDTA tube - 6mL

or

2 x Sodium Citrate - 3mL

Required Information

Sample and request form must be labelled correctly with 4 points of reference:

1. Unique identification number
2. Surname
3. First name
4. Date of birth.

Unlabelled, wrongly labelled or inadequately labelled specimens will not be accepted.
