Dixton Ward
Dixton is a surgical ward
Going home
When you arrive on the ward, your nurse will tell you how long we expect your stay in the hospital to be.
You should make plans and preparations for your discharge, including how you will manage once you return home. We are unfortunately unable to provide hospital transport to take you home.
Discharge planning starts as soon as you are admitted to the ward, as we like to know your social circumstances and give you a proposed date for discharge. A more definite date is usually given 24 hours before your discharge when the team looking after you will ensure you’re fit and ready to go home.
If you have any other questions, please speak to the nursing staff on the ward.
