Hyperacute Stroke (HASU) formally known as Acute Care Unit, Cheltenham (ACUC)
The Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) is an acute stroke ward providing specialist services for people who have had a new suspected stroke.
'Rest Period with no visiting' is between 1:30-3pm daily.
This is a 21 bedded unit that aims to assess and either discharge or transfer patients to a more specialised area. We care for patients in the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, which provides specialist care for patients who have suffered a stroke.
We see a complex mix of patients and our multi-professional team can provide close observation and expert care.
