Support for Carers of People Living with Dementia
If you are supporting someone, whether it be emotionally, physically or both, you are a Carer even if you may not always think of yourself as one. Whatever you do for someone else, being a carer means they are reliant on the support that you give them. Caring for a person or people with dementia can be challenging. You may have a lot of questions about what happens next or you may be unsure about how to support your loved one at home. As a Carer, it is important that you are receiving the support you need. This page gives you the main contacts and resources available within the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and in the community who can help. There are a range of resources available face-to-face and online. If you are unsure of who to contact, many of the services on this page can signpost and help to find the right service for you.
